Hospice plea from Sister Catherine
The Advertiser’s new Readers’Room appeal has the seal of approval from St Andrew’s Hospice director of mission Sister Catherine Egan.
She said:“The capital appeal is so important and so vital to the life of the hospice – people realise the benefits that the refurbishment will make and have been working really hard.
“It’s an enormous amount of money to raise, but the response has been so generous and everyone is focused on having a super new facility, which will be a great thing.
“The hospice is providing the same standard of care to patients decanted to Wester Moffat and people appreciate that.
“But I never go down the street without people asking when we’re going to get back into the hospice at Henderson Street!
“We’re so grateful that people are prepared to donate to an appeal like this.”
