Airdrie to host annual tenants’ conference

Airdrie Academy will host North Lanarkshire’s annual conference this Saturday for tenants from across the authority area.

Delegates will hear a welcome and introduction from housing vice-convener Olivia Carson.

Workshops include estate walkabouts, anti-social behaviour, new housing supply, energy efficiency and fire safety, and the event’s theme is “changing places – our shared ambition”.

Councillor Carson said: “All the topics being discussed impact on our tenants, their homes and communities, and I’m keen for as many as possible to be part of this event.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand from the people delivering our housing services and to hear of future plans.

“I’m looking forward to meeting those coming along.”
