Gartcairn will show no fear, says Greig
Davie Greig insists Gartcairn will go into their top-of-thetable clash against St Anthony’s this weekend with no fear.
League leaders Cairn make the trip to McKenna Park to face their closest challengers.
The MTC Park men are level on points and pipping their rivals to top spot on goal difference. However, the Airdrie side’s boss believes they shouldn’t be afraid of their opponents.
“It’s going to be a tough test for us but the boys are buoyant after the run of games we have had,”he told the Advertiser.
“It’s the kind of competition you get when you are challenging up the top of the league but we’re not afraid to go there.
“It’s the biggest challenge we have had this season but I’m confident we can go there and get a result.”
Greig doesn’t believe the clash will be a title decider at this stage of the season: “It’s not the kind of game that will decide if we get promoted or if we win the league.
“Yes, they are just behind us in the table but both teams will have plenty more chances .”
