Winter fayre will take place at Ebenezer Congregati­onal Church on Broomknoll Street on Saturday from 11am. Stalls include tombola, cake and candy, toy tombola and jewellery. Entry is £3, including tea.

Airdrie Spirituali­st Church meets on Tuesdays in Whinhall’s Beechbank community centre from 7.30pm. Contact organiser Nan on 01236 767007 for further details. Creative writing group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at Chapelside centre on Black Street, from 12 noon to 2pm. The group is looking for new members and welcomes all those interested in writing in a diverse range of genres, including poetry, short stories and local history.

Recovery cafe run by Love N’Light Recovery Org takes place at Pilgrim community centre on Victoria Place, every Saturday from 12 noon to 4pm. It includes motivation­al speakers, a conversati­onal cafe, fun hub, 12 steps participat­ion and arts and crafts for kids. @home Youth Centre has a purpose-built recording studio which is available every Friday from 5pm to 10pm, with staff on hand to help record and mix tracks. This facility is available free of charge to singers and bands aged under 25.
