A chance to see Rovers in the cup
Albion Rovers are hoping to pull off a huge Scottish Cup shock next weekend against St Johnstone – and you could be a part of it with the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser.
Rovers will welcome the 2014 Scottish Cup winners to Cliftonhill as they look to stun the Perth Saints.
It is expected to be a great atmosphere in the fourth round fixture - with the Perthshire fans taking an allocation of around 1000 tickets.
It was almost a year ago that the plucky League One outfit hosted none other than rocker Rod Stewart when they clashed with Celtic in an attempt to derail the Hoops Invincible season.
However, in the end they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brendan Rodgers side.
Now they want to go one better against another Scottish Premiership side.
It could well prove to be an afternoon of drama, and to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets for the cup clash just answer this question. Which music legend watched Albion Rovers play Celtic last season? a) Rod Stewart b) Elton John c) Ringo Starr Send your answer with your name, address, and a daytime telephone number with the subject ‘Albion Rovers competition’to mark.pirie@ trinitymirror.com.
