Ladies squad boost

Airdrie Ladies are recruiting new players and coaches as they bid to make a title challenge this coming season -after adding a host of new players already during the break.

The Diamonds are looking for more players in all positions to join a strong squad who finished second in the table last term and narrowly missed out on promotion.

They now hope a host of new recruits will see them go one better this year, with the campaign starting in February.

They have already added several new faces to the squad and are aiming for more.

Gaffer Kate Cameron said:“I would firstly like to thank everyone for the support during season 2017 and what a debut season that was, finishing in second place with only one league defeat.

“We are looking forward to season 2018 to see how far we can go in the cups and league therefore we are building and strengthening our squad in preparation for this.

“We are looking for a new coach or coaches to help take our players onto the next level and hopefully challenge for the league this year and we are now looking for new players to strengthen our squad.

“Airdrie is a fantastic area to play and because of the close community.”
