MP urges groups to apply for funding

-

Airdrie MP Neil Gray is urging community groups and charities in the town to apply for one of the People’s Postcode Lottery‘s latest grants.

With the funding application window opening next Wednesday, February 14, and closing on February 28, Mr Gray wants to ensure organisations don’t miss out on a potential windfall of between £500 and £20,000.

Thanks to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, there is £ 4 million available for deserving groups, with three award categories.

Mr Gray said: “Although the funding application window is short, there is plenty of time for groups and charities within Airdrie & Shotts to apply for one of these grants.

“With a share of £4m available, there will be plenty of grants being awarded and I am sure that there are many groups in the area that could certainly do with such a boost to their funds.

“Please do not hesitate to apply as soon as the window opens next Wednesday. Should anyone need assistance with their application, I am more than happy to help; I can be reached on 01236 439630.”

The People’s Postcode Trust focuses on prevention of poverty, promotion of human rights and conflict resolution.

Groups interested in applying for this award should go to www.postcodetrust. org.uk
