now waiting to find out if they are invited to the forthcoming national finals in Edinburgh.
Proud P6 teacher Louise Whomes said: “It was such a great event and our classes did so well.
“There are 33 kids in my class and every single one of them was so excited and enthusiastic about taking part.
“It really is unbelievable how much they got into it and how much effort they went to.
“It has given them a real insight into the legal process and the world of work.”
To qualify for the Falkirk event, pupils had worked on a fabricated insurance case which revolved around damage caused to a house during a wild party held by teenagers while their parents were on holiday.
Louise explained: “During the case we were fighting for £13,000 to cover the hypothetical damages and managed to win £11,000, which was a great result.
“To get that hands-on experience with a real sheriff in a real court room will be invaluable for any of them who wish to explore that line of work.”
Louise also revealed that one pupil in particular may just have taken his first steps in to a legal career.
She added: “We’ve got a very good budding lawyer in our class called Joseph Bulloch.
“A solicitor who was helping out with our preparation has said he’ll happily provide references should that line of work be an option one day.
“And after the case finished, Joseph was told by the judge “if you’re not sitting in my seat one day then something has gone wrong!”
