There’s snow stopping us!

-

Even a weather bomb warning didn’t stop a group of determined Chapelhall slimmers from sticking to their weight loss goals.

Slimming World consultant Christine McMullen battled the recent wintry weather to stay open throughout last month to ensure her members got all the support they needed to keep their new year resolutions on track.

And new members who wanted to start their dieting journeys weren’t left out in the cold either.

Christine, who runs the Chapelhall Slimming World group every Tuesday at 9.30am, 11.30am, 5.30pm & 7.30pm at the village’s parish church, said:“Our Slimming World promise is to run our groups 52 weeks of the year to ensure members’ slimming success.

“When bad weather hits, it can make it difficult to get around and really affect people’s plans.

“But when members show their commitment by coming along to group, as my members do week after week, we have to be there for them and give them the great support that they have signed up for.”

Christine helps over 200 slimmers in her home village and is an inspirational figure after shedding 10 stones herself since 2015.

She said:“If you’re just starting out on your slimming journey, getting support can be the one thing that makes the difference between succeeding or going off track.

“And, when life gets in the way, knowing that your slimming group will be there to support you is more important than ever.

“It takes more than a bit of snow or ice to beat me and my Slimming World members!”
