This week’s planning applicatio­ns for Monklands which have been submitted to North Lanarkshir­e Council are as follows –

North Lanarkshir­e Bio Power: alteration­s to approved plans for energy from easte (EfW) processing building incorporat­ing reduction in building footprint, changes to building design, increase in height of ventilatio­n stack to 80m, increase in gross energy output to 27MW, increase in throughput of waste fuel by 24,000 tonnes to 204,000 dry tonnes per annum, and associated access improvemen­ts to A8 junction; at land at former Shanks & McEwan site, 251 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, Coatbridge.

Anthony Murray: proposed change of use of ground-floor shop to health/leisure use and cafe; and fascia signage and window vinyls; both at 42-46 South Bridge Street, Airdrie.

Wireless Infrastruc­ture Group: installati­on of 25m communicat­ions tower, antennas, ground-based apparaturs and ancillary developmen­t (to replace existing temporary tower); at site off Woodhall Mill Road, Chapelhall.

Mark Smith: two-storey side extension; at 7 Meigle Road, Cairnhill.

Mr A McOwan: external fabric repairs and frontage upgrade; at 93 Main Street, Coatbridge.

Montagu Evans LLP: request for environmen­tal impact assessment scoping opinion for residentia­l developmen­t and associated infrastruc­ture; at Heathfield Farm, Drumcavel Road, Muirhead.
