A Coatbridge band have hailed their“wonderful fans” for helping them to realise their American dream.
Tijuana Bibles will join musical legends like Willie Nelson on the bill of the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival in Texas next month in their first ever trip to America.
The neo-psychedelic rock ‘n’ roll outfit set up a PledgeMusic page to fund their Stateside adventure and the remarkable generosity of the public has seen them more then double their original target.

Tony and bandmates Danny ( Tony’s brother), Mikey Dornan and James Brannigan will be giving something back to their loyal fans by treating pledgers to a series of exclusive perks.
The singer said: “We are in the process of putting the pledges together and these will include playlists for CDs that people have ordered.
“We will also be playing exclusive gigs in the living rooms of some of our backers, which will be a lot of fun.
