Teresa works her way into a healthy lifestyle
A super slimmer from Coatbridge is in good health thanks to her loss of nearly threeand-a-half stones in just eight months.
Teresa MacGuiness decided to tackle her weight issues after “regularly getting out of breath” during a holiday last year.
Her time at her local Slimming World group has seen her reach her target weight and shed pounds every single week bar one – at Christmas time.
Mum Teresa, 44, told the Advertiser: “I was on holiday last year and it wasn’t as enjoyable an experience as it should have been.
“I was regularly getting out of breath very easily and I decided it was time for time for me to turn to Slimming World.
“I joined my local group last June and it has proved to be a life-changing decision, especially for my health which is much improved.
“I have reached the target weight that I set for myself and feel amazing.
“In total, I have lost three stones and four pounds, but I would never have been able to do it without the support of my consultant Denise Raybould and her social team.
“They have been invaluable, both in group and on social media – and despite reaching my target, I will still be popping in every week.
“I will never forget all they have done for me.”
Slimming World consultant Denise added: “Teresa is a fantastic group member and always willing to help others.
“She also works nights, so comes off the night shift to get weighed – and never misses a week.
“Teresa has only gained weight once in all of her time as a member, and that was at Christmas time.
“She is now at her target weight and very much looking forward to the arrival of her new grandchild, who is due in August, with her new lease of life.
“Teresa is a shining example of what can happen when you dedicate the time and effort to helping yourself get healthy.”
