Photography workshop

-

Capturing clear photos in dim light can be difficult – but it’s a challenge CultureNL is set to tackle with a sensational snapper-friendly event in Coatbridge later this month.

The“After Hours at the Museum” photography session takes place at Summerlee Photomedia Studio on Thursday, March 22, from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Led by a CultureNL photography tutor, this workshop guides participants – aged 15 and over – on using a portable flash, or constant source light, to work with the night’s shadows and create iconic images.

It comes as part of the CultureNL Photomedia Studio programme of events and classes, with the Photomedia Studio also offering “affordable activities for adults of all abilities, young people and children”.

Photography Arts Development Officer, David Peace, said:“We offer a wide range of photography, film and animation classes, workshops or events for a broad age range and ability levels.

“The emphasis is on enjoyment of your chosen subject in a relaxed and friendly environment.”

A full list of class types, times and locations can be found by visiting culturenl.co.uk/arts/photomedia/

Advance booking and payment is required as places are limited; for more information, or to book the masterclass, email arts@culturenl. co.uk or call 01236 632828.
