W/D youngsters enjoy the challenge
Young stars from Waysiders/Drumpellier were joined by Falkirk and Loch Lomond RFC to develop the future of youth in rugby.
There was a good turnout from all teams as several age groups were put through their paces.
The primary four and five team played Falkirk in the first game and W/D were caught sleeping in the first half as it was 4-1 - but they switched on in the second to pull it back to 7-7.
In the second game the Langloan outfit played Loch Lomond and it finished 5-2 to Lomond.
W/D under-21 representative Gerry Brankin said:“All the players had fun as well as showing their own personal advancements down to their commitment in training. The coaches felt great pride in the grit and determination of the teams but the big thing was at the end the players said it was amazing fun, which is what rugby is all about.”
