Devil’s Beef Tub trek

After their last walk was spoiled by the Beast from the East, the Monklands Ramblers have revealed their next scheduled walk.

The trek will see them take a walk through ‘Devil’s Beef Tub’to Moffat and they are appealing for new members get involved as we come into Spring.

On Sunday March 18, the group will take on the 11-mile trek through the dramatic landscapes to the north of Moffat known as the‘Devil’s Beef Tub’ before arriving in the town.

The route is graded B and will have the usual pick-up point.

The bus will be in Airdrie at the Aldi Car Park at 8.30am.

•The next Monklands Ramblers monthly midweek walk will be from Coatbridge to Clarkson today.

It is a seven-mile trek on good paths as they travel via the Heritage Trail. Ramblers should meet at the Tesco main entrance in Faraday Retail Park at 12 noon.

They will return will on public transport.
