● MOSS AVENUE, CALDERCRUI­X. Between Eden View and Mill Street will be affected by a closure for 24 hours from midnight tomorrow. Carriagewa­y patching works will see the road shut when signposted and diversions in place on Moss Avenue and Elswick Drive. ● BUCHANAN STREET, COATBRIDGE. Will be shut from 10pm tomorrow until 6am on Friday for bridge maintenanc­e works. The closure is from the road’s junction with Stobcross Street to its junction with Kirk Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained “at all times”, with vehicle access permitted“where practical”. Motorists can use diverted routes on Oxford Street, Henderson Street, the B753 at Dundyvan Road, Ross Street and the A89 at Bank Street. ● SOUTH BRIDGE STREET, AIRDRIE. A restrictio­n prohibitin­g any waiting or loading will be in place from 12.01am on Saturday until 11.59pm on Sunday. The weekend restrictio­n is being put into effect to allow for new markings to be put in place along the town centre carriagewa­y, for its whole length, between Hallcraig Street and High Street. The work is being carried out by Newlay on behalf of North Lanarkshir­e Council. ● RUSSELLCOL­T STREET, COATBRIDGE. The road will be closed from Stewart Street to Gartsherri­e Road from 9am on Monday until 6pm next Wednesday, March 28, to allow for carriagewa­y patching works to take place. The diversion for motorists will be via Sunnyside Road and Gartsherri­e Road; pedestrian access will be maintained throughout. ● WOODSIDE STREET, COATBRIDGE. The road will shut from its junction with A89 Bank Street to its junction with Allan Street from midnight next Friday, March 30, until the same time on April 15. SP Energy Networks and Coneworx Ltd are carrying out electrical utility works at the railway bridge, but pedestrian access will be “maintained at all times”. There will be diversions on South Circular Road, Bank Street, Whifflet Street and School Street. ● GILMOUR PLACE, GARTSHERRI­E. Mediumimpa­ct works are due for completion this week. The work is being initiated by SGN; for further details of the project, email customer@sgn.co.uk ● CHURCH STREET, COATBRIDGE. Low-impact work is being carried out at the town centre street from now until May 31. ● SOUTH COMMONHEAD AVENUE, AIRDRIE. Carriagewa­y patching works by Amey will see the road shut, from Mill Road, between midnight on April 4 and the same time on April 13. This will be in force when signposted and motorists can use Chapel Street, East High Street, North Bridge Street and Commonside Street as alternativ­e routes. ● GLENBOIG ROAD, COATBRIDGE. The road will be shut from the B804 Johnston Road for 350m, from 8am to 6pm on Monday, April 9, for drainage works. All vehicles are to be prohibited except works traffic, but pedestrian access to the route will be maintained at all times. The diversion is via Johnston, Lochend and Drumcavel Roads. ● SUMMERHILL AND GARNGIBBOC­K ROAD, AIRDRIE. A closure will be in place from Auchenkiln­s Road to Millcroft Road from May 8-11 between 10pm and 6am each day, when signposted. This is required for rail bridge works by Amco to take place; an alternativ­e route for traffic will be available via Chapelton Road, Myvot Road and the B802 at Condorrat Road. ● DYKEHEAD ROAD, AIRDRIE. Pole replacemen­t works by BT will result a closure, from Ballochney Road to Dalmacoult­er Road. The closure will be in place for 24 hours from midnight on May 17, when signposted. Alternativ­e routes for motorists will run on Airdriehil­l Street and the A73 Stirling Road.
