Residents to have say
Airdrie Town centre is in dire need of improvement Airdrie residents will be asked for their views next week on how local funding for the town should be spent.
Business representatives and community groups are also being invited to have their say at a special session at the town hall.
It takes place next Thursday, April 19, from 2pm to 8pm, and will also allow attendees to share views on their community’s needs and issues. The event will include refreshments and children’s craft activities as well as information stalls.
Community partnership manager Leanne Pollock said: “These events will let people provide us with their views, which can really help shape communities – so it’s worthwhile to participate and play a role in making a difference to where you live and work.
“Local people, groups and businesses are at the heart of communities, so it’s important their views, concerns and ideas are taken on board when making decisions about improvements to neighbourhoods.”
