The aims of Save a Life for Scotland

-

Every week in Scotland 70 people have a cardiac arrest, that’s enough to fill a double-decker bus.

A cardiac arrest happens when the heart suddenly stops pumping blood around the body.

Someone who is having a cardiac arrest will suddenly lose consciousness and will stop breathing or stop breathing normally. It can happen to anyone at anytime. Doing CPR buys time for the ambulance to arrive and can double the chances of someone surviving so Save a Life For Scotland are asking everyone in Scotland to get CPR ready.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, but with CPR they are twice as likely to survive.

Learn how you can be a lifesaver now.
