Quirky Quilters

Work by the Quirky Quilters is now on show in their first exhibition at East Kilbride Arts Centre.

The club was started in 2012 by Margaret Beggs and Doreen Wales who saw a need for a local quilting group and it has gone from strength to strength ever since.

As well as patchwork quilts, wall hangings and smaller stitchery, the 2014 Commonwealth Games quilt will be on show. The club also make quilts for sick and traumatised babies and children through the Project Linus charity and visitors will be able to see some examples of these.

The exhibition is free and runs until April 29 from 10am until 8pm.
