Big fun in aid of hospice

Fundraiser event

- Ian Bunting

St Andrew’s Hospice has teamed up with Maxim Office Park to host a summer fun day and raise funds for the Airdrie-based charity.

Being held at the site in Eurocentral, the BIG Maxim Fun Day on Saturday, June 23, will offer the whole family an action-packed day out with attractions for all ages.

Guests will be able to enjoy activities including a bucking bronco, a magic show and fun fair games.

Delicious food will also be served up from a variety of vendors, including Edinburger and The Laughing Coo.

An array of talented musicians will take to the stage with live music and a selection of top prizes will be up for grabs.

The event is set to be one of the biggest outdoor fundraising events in 2018 for the hospice’s Capital Appeal.

The hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients with life- limiting disease and limited prognosis and offers “physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to patients, their families and carers in Lanarkshire”.

Adult tickets for the BIG Maxim Fun Day are priced at £5 and children go free.

All proceeds from the extravaganza will go to the hospice’s Capital Appeal.

Fundraisers have now launched the St Andrew’s Hospice Homecoming campaign and are asking supporters to hold an event such as a coffee morning or afternoon tea to contribute to the total – or to text “ROOM18 £5” to 70070 to donate £5 to the Appeal.
