Monklands Light Opera members went on a scouting mission as they prepare to tickle audience members pink with their next big production.

Legally Blonde: The Musical will hit the stage at Airdrie town hall later this year and the talented performers took in a take on the famous musical at Glasgow’s King’s Theatre.

A spokesperson for the group said afterwards:“It was an absolutely outstanding performance and will act as a real inspiration for our take on the production.”

Based on the hit movie, the Light Opera’s Legally Blonde show follows leading lady Elle Woods as she “tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams” with the support of hair stylist Paulette and lawyer Emmett.

The group have already held open auditions for the production and audition packs are still available to anyone interested in auditioning for a principal role in the production; simply email auditions.mlo@gmail. com with your request.
