Success is no joke

- Ian Bunting

Airdrie funnyman Scott Stewart has become an online sensation with a series of hugely popular comedy sketches.

The Burnfoot actor and musician’s videos have been viewed over a million times in total since he began shooting one every 10 days at the start of the year.

Jack-of-all-trades Scott turned his hand to comedy due to his love of all things funny and is determined to treat his fans to further gags and sketches in the future.

Scott, 24, said: “I have been releasing lots of different comedy sketches every 10 days which have proved to be really popular.

“So much so that the videos on my channel, collectively, have totalled up to just over a million views.

“I am absolutely delighted by how well the sketches have been received as I’ve always been a fan of comedy in all its guises.

“I watch on in awe when some of the top performers, like Kevin Bridges and Frankie Boyle, are on the TV.

“Making people laugh can be challenging, but it’s hugely rewarding and well worth the effort.”

Scott added: “I will continue to release new sketches every few weeks. Most of them don’t have any connection and are just different ideas I have come up with.

“My friend Danny and I have recurring characters and many of them focus on a relationship between a couple.

“The sketches pretty much promote themselves because everyone loves a bit of comedy, especially if the subjects are relatable.

“A good laugh can brighten up an otherwise frustrating day.”
