Fiona spins a thrilling yarn with new novel

Five-star praise for second book

- Jean Ward

An Airdrie author has shown she has the write stuff with the publication of her second novel.

Fiona Morgan has explored the murky depths of jealousy and revenge with thrilling romance, What’s Mine.

And the mum- of- two is delighted with the initial reviews she received at a recent launch event in Airdrie.

Fiona said: “There was a great turnout and I also had a few books sold on the night.

“I have had great feedback including my first five star review on Amazon, so it’s going well.

“My husband Liam commented on how ‘very emotional’ it was, which was a big compliment as he isn’t an avid reader.”

Fi o n a , a deaf/blind communicator and British Sign Language facilitator, has once again chosen Glasgow as the backdrop for her book, following the success of debut novel Free last year.

She continued: “I’m really excited about it and I can’t wait for people to read it. It’s another thriller romance, but this time it focuses on jealousy and abduction which escalates, with two stories intertwined throughout.”

Fiona admits she is passionate about writing and added: “I love it. Although, it’s quite surreal and it does take me a while to realise that the finished work is mine.

“At the moment I’m working on another novel, but I’ve also had people asking me for a follow-up to Free.

“However, it’s not as easy as it looks and I write, if and when I can, at lunchtimes and weekends or during any spare time I have.”

Fans can pick up a copy of What’s Mine at Fiona’s scheduled book signing in Airdrie’s WH Smith store, in Graham Street, on June 9, from 1pm to 4pm.

And it is also available to buy online from Amazon.
