Wave of praise for magician Kieran
Illusionist wows audiences
A talented Coatbridge performer has swept audiences away in a revolutionary new magic and illusion show on the ocean waves.
Kieran McCormack has proved to be an “incredible” hit in his debut performance of the show ‘Astonishing’, which has recently been wowing audiences on board the P&O Cruises liner, Britannia.
And Kieran has captivated his audiences at sea with his star-studded performance in the new “out of this world” magical and musical extravaganza.
The 25-year-old, who trained at both Coatbridge and Motherwell colleges, was selected from hundreds of hopefuls to perform in the new ground-breaking show, which recently premiered on three of the P&O Cruises ships.
A delighted Kieran told the Advertiser: “It’s been brilliant being a part of the show Astonishing.
“I used to love magic as a kid; the card tricks, the illusions, everything. I still do to be honest.
“Now being a part of an actual magic and illusion show and knowing how to do certain tricks just makes it that more fascinating; it’s been incredible to say the least.”
The “mind-boggling” production is the brain-child of BAFTA-winning presenter and entertainer Stephen Mulhern and performer Jonathan Wilkes.
And it also features spectacular dance moves from leading choreographer Paul Domaine as well as the mindblowing trickery of master illusionist Guy Barrett.
P& O Cruises senior vice-president Paul Ludlow added: “As its name implies, Astonishing is an extraordinary and visionary show that is unlike anything seen before on a UK stage.
“Bringing together the world of magic, dance, illusion and mystery, and using the latest technology of the giant LED screens in the theatres, the show captivates our guests and has them tapping their toes, while gasping in disbelief as they are wowed with dazzling dance moves and seemingly impossible feats.”
