Painters and drawers of varying experience levels aged 16 and over can join up with the adult art class held in Kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre.

The class meets every Tuesday from 1pm to 4pm and Thursday from 1pm to 3pm in the Haddington Way venue.

A Neighbourhood Centre spokesperson said: “We have a really great core of members coming to the art class and they’re all doing very well.

“They are producing some wonderful artwork, but we’re always keen to expand and the class are keen to welcome as many new members as possible.

“The class is for artists of all experiences. You don’t have to be an expert as everyone helps each other out and members love to pass on their skills.

The spokesperson added: “The centre has lots of other exciting classes and programmes on offer for people of all ages.

“These include karate, a community cafe, job and kids’ clubs, keep fit, playgroups, computing classes and gymnastics.”

“We are a locally based Vo l u nt a ry Managed Organisation which has an open door policy and all members of the community are welcome to access all services and activities.”
