Firms in line for awards

Four Monklands businesses have been nominated at this weekend’s inaugural Scottish beauty industry awards.

Decorum hair and beauty on South Bridge Street in Airdrie is one of 10 nominees in the south region section, while staff at Barber Shop 13 on Aitchison Street in the town are nominated as barber team of the year.

Airdrie business Hallcraig dental care is among the nine nominees for dentist of the year, while the orthodontic practice shortlist includes Eden, based on Dundyvan Road in Coatbridge.

Finalists were chosen from public nominations, and winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday.
