Airdrie supermodel Amanda Hendrick is preparing to roll the dice as she gets set to jet off to Vegas to marry her rocker boyfriend.

The former Vogue covergirl proposed to fiancé JJ Peters, who fronts Australian hardcore metal band Deez Nuts, after a whirlwind four- month romance.

Amanda, 28, said she can’t wait to tie the knot with the 35-year-old singer, who she started dating in January but has known for years.

The glamorous model, who has walked for Christian Dior and was the face of Topshop, said: “I proposed to him in an Irish pub in Madrid in April.

“We’ve known each other for 10 years but the timing was never right, I guess. We’ve only been together officially since January but I’m spontaneous and a romantic and it just feels right and different from everything else, so I’m locking him down.

“I’m Scottish and he is Australian so it’s impossible to have a wedding where everyone can attend, plus I’m really not into traditional wedding stuff so we are having a shotgun wedding in Vegas with a few friends this month.”

Amanda, who was discovered by a talent scout at Glasgow’s Central Station when she was 15 and has gone on to become one of the world’s most in-demand models, is busy launching her own clothing label with Adelaide- born JJ, whose metal band are massive in Australia and Germany.

The 5ft 10in former Airdrie Academy pupil, the new face of online store Campbell Crafts Vintage, said: “As a model, I have always been into fashion and have my own unique style so it makes sense for me to go into the designer side of things.

“I am helping my fiancé launch a clothing brand. It’s called ¥€$ and is a highend streetwear line. We are producing everything in Los Angeles and will hopefully be launching in the next few months, which is exciting.

“I think I’ll always be a bit of a grunger but, as I’m getting older, I do like to experiment a lot more. I love mixing things up, which is exactly what our new label does.”

Amanda, who is signed to Scotland’s top model agency Colours, added: “My wardrobe is a mash-up of high street, vintage and designer. That’s why I’m delighted to be the face of a vintage label.

“I love the 60s and 70s boho style, especially the fringe jackets and bell bottoms. I love the music from that era too and feel that’s when people started to become a bit more free with what they wore and how they chose to express themselves.”

With her wedding now just weeks away, Amanda – who had her hen do in London last weekend – has been posting hints about her big day on Instagram, much to the delight of her 43,000 followers.
