Kaireen was fit and slim for her wedding
Beautiful bride reaches target before her big day
Beautiful bride Kaireen Lewis had an extra- special reason to celebrate her magical wedding day.
The Coatbridge native shed a phenomenal six stones in less than a year to look her very best on her big day.
Kaireen, 32, turned to Slimming World to get in shape after struggling with her weight since her teenage years.
She told the Advertiser: “When I was 19 I was a social butterfly who went out every weekend and this went on for a while.
“Eventually the years of being out of control at weekends took their toll and I began to pile on the pounds.
“I decided to try and lose weight on a calorie-controlled diet and seemed to do OK for a while; but then I hit a brick wall.
“I had heard wonderful things about Slimming World and the amazing successes of everyone at the classes, so decided this was the place to go.
“With my wedding getting ever closer, I set myself the goal of looking amazing for the ceremony.”
Kaireen has hailed her Slimming World journey as “amazing” and reached her target weight last month with her impressive six stones loss.
She said: “It’s not always been an easy journey, but with the support of my friends, family and the amazing group at Slimming World Townhead, I finally smashed it.
“My husband Colin is my own Slimming World chef; he makes all of my fabulous food optimising meals from the Slimming World magazines and recipes books.
“I have also had great support from my sister Kelly and mum Tricia, who are both members of the same Slimming World group too.”
Slimming World has also had a hugely positive impact on asthma sufferer Kaireen’s health.
She explained: “I used to struggle walking up stairs and hills but now I rarely use my inhalers anymore, which is an amazing achievement.
“I am much more active now and really enjoy body magic and walking our dog; I am truly loving life.”
