Retirement on menu

A treasured cook swapped pots and pans for relaxation and down time as she headed off into the sunset. Peggy Archer was surrounded by appreciative colleagues at Gartloch Hospital as she entered her richly deserved retirement. Peggy gave 23 years of exemplary service to the hospital as a catering assistant. Hospital catering manager Ross Birch and assistant manager Paul Maguire are pictured presenting Peggy with a bouquet in the October 15, 1982, Advertiser. A hospital spokesperson said: “Everyone was very fond of Peggy and she will be a huge loss to Gartloch.”
