Academy took part in an enterprise project that saw them take down the names of every teacher in the school so they could design and create special name plates for them. The gifted youngsters then moved on to the next stage of the programme – making a series of fantastic personalis­ed mugs and candles for members of staff.

CAP job club

The summer league continues every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm. The club is also open every Friday from 10am to 12pm for a mixed bounce game; shoes and bowls are available for hire at no extra cost. The club hosts organisati­ons including: line dancing on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm, Coatbridge & Airdrie camera club on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm, Slimming World on Wednesdays at 6.30pm, Black & White dance group each Thursday at 6.30pm and circle dancing every second Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. at Coatbridge Baptist Church’s is recruiting new members. The group runs every Monday (except school holidays) from 9.30am to 11.45am at the church on West Canal Street. The group provide a safe environmen­t for parents to bring children aged from birth to three years along to play with toys and interact with others.
