Miners’ home Applicatio­ns for use of the holiday home in Culross, Fife, are open to miners, their families and beneficiar­ies. The home is open from now until August; call 01383 880307 to register interest.

Drop-in cafe will take place on Tuesday, July 17, at Greengairs Parish Church hall. It runs from 1pm to 3.30pm and is open to all to enjoy tea, coffee and home baking.

Bingo night will take place in the Orange hall on Sundays, with tickets on sale from 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. The Lucky Joker will be drawn at 8.25pm. Tickets are on sale from committee members, costing £1. To support the Lucky Joker draw, please contact the committee.

Back Brae Gospel Hall The breaking of the bread takes place on Sunday at 11am. Sunday school runs from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The evening gospel meeting is held at 6.30pm every Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when the service runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. A prayer and Bible reading is held every Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm. Stanrigg miners’ memorial is open to anyone who wishes to visit the site.

Da Capo music group meet on Mondays from 6pm to 9pm in the Orange hall on Baillies Lane. Anyone who would like to play the orchestral flute and drums is welcome to attend the group; contact John on 07525 064303.

Baillies Lane marching band Practice takes place on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm in the social club. New flute and drum learners are welcome to attend; call John on 07525 064303 for further details.
