CAP job club meets on Mondays

from 12 noon until 2pm at Hope Church on Bank Street. Those who are looking for work are invited to attend for friendly, practical support in finding a job. Lunch is provided; places can be booked by calling 0800 328 0006. Angel of Love and Light Spirituali­st Church hold their meetings every Monday at 7.30pm at Coatbridge community centre, in the grounds of St Andrew’s High School. New members are welcome to attend.

Lip reading classes are run by Deaf Services Lanarkshir­e, based at Unit 40 in Fountain Business Centre, Ellis Street. The free classes, for anyone who is hard of hearing, take place on Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The club is also open every Friday from 10am to 12pm for a mixed bounce game; shoes and bowls are available for hire at no extra cost. The club hosts organisati­ons including: line dancing on Mondays from 7pm to 9pm, Coatbridge & Airdrie camera club on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm, Slimming World on Wednesdays at 6.30pm, Black & White dance group each Thursday at 6.30pm and circle dancing every second Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. Parent and toddler group at Coatbridge Baptist Church is recruiting new members. The group runs every Monday (except school holidays) from 9.30am to 11.45am at the church on West Canal Street. The group provide a safe environmen­t for parents to bring children aged from birth to three years along to play with toys and interact with others. Pied Piper playgroup at the Charlotte Toal centre on Dundyvan Road has places available for children aged two and over. Classes run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9.45am to 11.45am. Children can play and have fun while parents have some time to themselves. FBX fitness classes run at a studio on Main Street with sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6.45pm. The classes last 30 minutes and cost £3. Friends of Dunbeth Park will hold their AGM on July 30 at 7pm in the Indoor bowling club, Coatdyke.
