Photography club invite

-

Monklands snappers with a keen knowledge of, and interest in, all things photographic can develop their skills at a local group tailored to their skills.

Airdrie & Coatbridge Photography Club’s new session is off and running – and the organisation is inviting new members to get involved.

Anyone interested in joining the group can attend their weekly meetings, which take place every Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Coatbridge Indoor Bowling Club, Quarry Street.

Club president Martyn Morrison told the Advertiser:“We welcome all new members along and hope to see as many new faces as possible now that our latest session is underway.

“The club gives people the chance to share their passion for photography and pick up some tips and advice on how to capture interesting images.

“We have live demonstrations, talks from professional speakers and competitions with local photographic clubs.

“Our current membership is approximately 40 adults, ranging from young to young at heart with experience levels from amateur to professional.

“During a meeting you will see the 25-year pro teaching the three-year amateur the proper techniques for composition and five minutes later the amateur is teaching the pro about digital storage cards.”

The club’s membership fee is £30, with a concession for students also available. Visit www. acphotographic. iaocentral.com/
