Going back to where it all began

A beloved Airdrie weight loss expert has moved two of her groups back into the heart of the town centre.

Tracy Brown, a consultant for Slimming World, decided to relocate the classes due to “popular demand”from the community.

Tracy, who started her career with the organisation back in 2015, told the Advertiser: “Members have been asking me for a while to consider moving the groups back into Airdrie town centre, but it wasn’t a possibility until now.

“The groups started off in the Salvation Army hall and when we had to move out, I was very sad.

“But thankfully we are now back in the hall, based on Hallcraig Street, and I couldn’t be happier.

“I am so excited to be returning to the venue as many people weren’t able to make it along to our previous location and this is a chance for them to go back‘home’.”

Tracy has supported members to lose more than 207 stones this year alone and Anna McLeod, who has shed more than four stones and is currently at target weight, was one of many happy customers delighted to return to the Salvation Army hall.

Anna said:“I am so pleased we are going back to where it all began.

“Being in the town centre will make it so much easier to head out shopping after group every Thursday morning.”

Tracy is looking forward to welcoming“old and new members alike”to the groups, which take place every Thursday at 9.30am and 11.30am.

She also runs another Slimming World class on Tuesdays in Glenmavis social club at 5.30pm.
