Rollercoaster of fun at the IRN-BRU Carnival
Get ready for a rollercoaster of fun as the IRN-BRU Carnival returns to Glasgow next week.
The annual extravaganza, Europe’s largest indoor funfair, returns to the SEC for the festive season on Thursday, December 20. And with more than 60 rides and attractions to choose from, there’s something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. New additions include the Airmaxx 360 and the Wild Mouse Rollercoaster – which are “guaranteed to excite even the biggest daredevils”. Only for the bravest, this year’s thrill rides include Top Flip, Top Star, Midnight Express, Matterhorn, Viva Mexico Miami and Speed Buzz.
Firm favourites the sticky wall, carousel, ghost train, the waltzers and more will also return.
There will also be over 20 classic game stalls and activities from classic arcade games to basketball, bungee trampolines, inflatable bumper cars and Whac-A-Minion.
For the little ones there is a new addition Monster Jam Juvenile, an inflatable paradise and old favourites Juvenile Chairoplanes and Cups and Saucers to enjoy.
Voucher taking stalls will feature the likes of Knock Off Cans, Coconut Shy Skittles, Hook-A-Duck and Toy Town Stall.
Greg Cherry, managing director of organisers QD Events, said: “As we celebrate our 100th birthday next year, it’s apparent that the IRN-BRU Carnival has become an iconic part of Scotland’s festive season.
“Not only have we entertained generations of families and friends, but we’ve continued to grow year on year with new thrilling experiences to be enjoyed by both returning and new guests.”
Whether it’s enjoying a classic carnival pick’n’mix or a scoop of your favourite ice cream, there will also be a variety of food stalls to fuel-up before enjoying more fun at the hottest carnival in town this winter.
Greg continued: “With something for thrill seekers, families and youngsters alike, we encourage everyone to roll up for the ultimate carnival experience this winter.”
The IRN-BRU Carnival will be open until Sunday, January 13.
