This week’s planning applications for Monklands which have been submitted to North Lanarkshire Council are –
North Lanarkshire Council: request for screening opinion for demolition of three eight-storey tower blocks, concierge building and remediation of associated hardstanding and amenity grassland; at land at Thrashbush Road, Airdrie.
Jewel Homes: residential development of 14 flats (including demolition of existing building); at 315 Bank Street, Coatbridge.
Gingerbread Log Homes: application to vary existing condition on vehicle access (for permission relating to construction of four dwellings and part conversion of existing farm steading buildings to form six dwellings with associated access improvements and landscaping); at Eastfield, Eastfield Road, Caldercruix.
FCC Environment: scoping of environmental impact assessment for the proposed development of an energy recovery facility and associated development; at Greengairs landfill site, Meikle Drumgray Road, Greengairs.
Clear Channel UK: removal of three advertisement hoardings and replacement with two 48-sheet digital adverts, and erection of two nonilluminated logo signs; at land on north-east side of Langmuir Road, Bargeddie.
Philip Howard: change of use of three-bedroomed flat for short-term letting (in retrospect); at 34 Livingstone Place, Gartlea.
Lesley Curran: part change of use of property for child minding (increasing number of children cared for to a maximum of eight); at 4 Banchory Avenue, Glenmavis.
Mr and Mrs G Sweeny: construction of 1.75-storey house with garage, stable block and paddocks, including associated infrastructure, landscaping, access and parking; at site to rear of Gartness Cottage, Bowhousebrae Road, Airdrie.
