Caring firm wins award for second straight year

A Coatbridge care at home firm is celebrating after winning a top industry accolade for the second year running.
HRM Homecare South West – a branch of HRM Homecare Ltd – was once again named among the top 20 care providers at the homecare. co.uk awards.
This award is based on customer feedback and it marks an excellent year for the business, which provides more than 9000 hours of support a week to the most vulnerable people across Scotland.
Founded by Lynn Laughland, who is its managing director, HRM Homecare now provides care supports in north and south Lanarkshire.
Lynn dedicated the latest accolade to her staff, who she said “worked tirelessly to provide people with the right level of support and care to enable them to live as independently as possible within their own homes”.
She also highlighted how the award recognised the role of a homecare support worker is a valued and rewarding profession.
Lynn added: “I am very proud of everyone involved in HRM Homecare for being named among the top 20 home care providers in Scotland.
“This shows we provide a muchneeded, and valued, quality service for our customers.
“Helping people and making a difference to their lives is at the heart of what we do; it is very fulfilling and satisfying.
“We want to attract more people to join what is a skilled and worthwhile profession; a profession which encourages and enables people to live independent lives thanks to the quality support that boosts their self-esteem and confidence.”
HRM Homecare is keen to add to its workforce, with aims to recruit at least 70 more employees – and will provide a full induction and training programme to new recruits, while also offering several SVQ qualifications.
