And now the Scottish superstar will go one-on-one with radio host Ross Owen for an intimate Q& A session and meet- and- greet at Airdrie’s Penny Cars stadium this Friday night.
The World of Sport Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling grappler – and star of TV hits Insane Fight Club, River City, Scot Squad and Two Doors Down – will make a welcome return to the stadium after taking to the pitch at June’s All-Stars and legends charity cup clash in aid of the Airdrie Community Trust.
Grado – whose real name is Graeme Stevely – has also butted heads with imposing opponents of all shapes and sizes during a series of appearances for Premier British Wrestling at Airdrie town hall.
He said: “I cannot wait to come back to Airdrie; I had a great time at the charity cup game and everyone was really friendly.
“It will be fun to be on stage with Ross then meet with the people of Airdrie afterwards.”
The 31- year- old master of the Bionic Elbow is the latest in a series of impressive celebrities friend-ofthe-stars Ross has brought to his home town.
Last month, Scottish television favourite Ford Kiernan was in the spotlight, while his Still Game costars Matt Costello and Paul Young also treated Airdrie audiences to a Q&A and meet-and-greet last week.
Ross said: “Grado is a fantastic character who is one of Scotland’s most beloved stars.
“He is a terrific entertainer – whether in the ring or on screen – and I’m sure he’ll have a lot of great stories to tell on Friday night.”
Ross added: “I’ve also got an evening with actress, singer and comedienne Leah Macrae in the Penny Cars stadium next Friday [August 24].
“It’s sure to be another great night in Airdrie.”
