New map rates sexiest towns in Lanarkshire

Lanarkshire’s sexiest towns have been revealed in a new“sex map” – with Airdrie nearly 300 places above Coatbridge on Britain’s overall standings.
The map has been compiled using data from sex toy retailer Lovehoney and reveals how many residents spent money on their “sexual pleasure”.
And Airdrie came in at 338th on the list, with Monklands neighbours Coatbridge at 627th.
The top town in Lanarkshire was named as Motherwell – with 32,120 residents spending more on products than anywhere else in the county.
The Lovehoney Interactive UK Sex Map allows users to search for a city, town or county to discover just how sexy where they live really is.
Motherwell ranked 225th in the UK table of 720 locations, which was headed in Scotland by Bathgate in Midlothian.
Rankings for other locations in Lanarkshire included Larkhall (290th), Carluke (321st), Wishaw (388th), Bellshill (601st) and Hamilton (632nd).
Lovehoney product director Bonny Hall said: “Spending on sexual pleasure in Lanarkshire is slightly below the national average.
“All our data shows that couples with great sex lives enjoy higher overall levels of happiness.
“Couples who have been in settled relationships for years are looking for new ways to spice things up and they are increasingly choosing to experiment together with sex toys for the first time.
“The map allows you to look up anywhere in the UK, so you can see how sexy your town is and compare to other locations in Lanarkshire or across the whole country.”
The figures are based on Lovehoney’s extensive data on the UK’s sexual behaviour.
Lovehoney, the UK’s biggest sex toy retailer, is booming with sales of more than £100 million annually.
Owners Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford recently met the Queen and Prince Philip at an official reception at Buckingham Palace.
