Airdrie North representative Sophia Coyle will hold surgeries in the village next Wednesday, September 11, and on September 25. They take place from 6pm to 6.30pm in the community centre. Ward colleague Tommy Morgan will hold a surgery next Saturday, September 14, at 12 noon in Stanrigg hall.

The recent show arranged by the fundraising committee was a successful event and raised £400 for the Airdriebased Parkinsons self-help group. They were presented with a cheque at the end of the evening, and group representatives have thanked all those who attended for their support. The next fundraising event will take place on Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm, and will feature cabaret act Time of your Life. Proceeds will be donated to Shining Stars theatre group, and tickets will go on sale soon at a cost of £6.
