Airdrie North representa­tive Sophia Coyle will hold surgeries in the village next Wednesday, September 11, and on September 25. They take place from 6pm to 6.30pm in the community centre. Ward colleague Tommy Morgan will hold a surgery next Saturday, September 14, at 12 noon in Stanrigg hall.

Will take place on Tuesday, September 17, at Greengairs parish church hall, from 12.30pm to 3pm. Tea, coffee and home baking are available, and all are welcome. The cafe runs on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

The recent show arranged by the fundraisin­g committee was a successful event and raised £400 for the Airdriebas­ed Parkinsons self-help group. They were presented with a cheque at the end of the evening, and group representa­tives have thanked all those who attended for their support. The next fundraisin­g event will take place on Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm, and will feature cabaret act Time of your Life. Proceeds will be donated to Shining Stars theatre group, and tickets will go on sale soon at a cost of £6.
