Harper: Ouzy can be key for our frontline

Albion Rovers boss Kevin Harper says Ousman See completes one of the most deadly strike forces in League Two.

He says he will give the striker time to get up to full fitness after penning a deal, but was full of praise for the ex-Berwick star.

“We’ve had Ouzy in for a while and we wanted to see if he could get his fitness up after the injury he had,” Harper told the Advertiser.

“Getting him in and up to speed will be a big plus for us, and he knows now that he will be looked after here.

“We will give him the time he needs and when he is fully fit I’m sure he will be pushing for a starting position.

“It’s been a tough few months for him and it tells you a lot about a player when they come back from an injury like that.

“He knows what he needs to do to get fully fit and improve, but going forward we are really strong now.

“We have real options and I’m sure some people won’t be happy that they can’t get a game every week. I would say there is a few players who could get between 15 and 20 goals a season here now.

“Jack Breen and Daniel Scally are still to come in but I think we have one of the strongest attacking lines in the division, and it will mean we don’t have to play the same 4-4-2 formation every week.”

He also hoped the addition of Callum Home would help keep the goals out.

“Callum gives us a bit of stability at the back,”added Harper.

“He can play at centre-back or right-back, but at the end of the day we would see him as a centre-back who can bring a lot of experience.

“He can push on our current options in defence and we’re glad that we have him in.”
