The wedding of Cheryl Currie and Douglas Holmes

The couple

Cheryl Currie, from Airdrie, works as a clerical assistant and Douglas Holmes, of Motherwell, is a senior sports developmen­t officer.

When they met

Cheryl and Douglas met through a partnershi­p meeting via work; they have been together for more than eight years and have been inseparabl­e ever since.

The wedding

The ceremony took place at the Radstone Hotel, Larkhall, on October 19 last year and was attended by 100 members of their family and friends, followed by a reception in the same venue where a further 150 guests joined the couple to celebrate and dance the night away.

Attire

Cheryl wore a beautiful fitted gown designed by Brides of Scotland in East Kilbride, while Douglas and his best man and ushers wore the Pride of Forth tartan from Highland Kilt Connection, Airdrie.

Honeymoon

They travelled to Florida, Miami and New York.

Bridal party

Cheryl’s maid of honour was her sister Stephanie and bridesmaid­s were her cousins Amanda Anderson and Danielle Currie. Douglas’best man was best friend Paul Madden and ushers were his best friends Scott Davies and Blair Cremin.
