Craigneuk and Old Petersburn tenants’ and residents’ associatio­n will meet on Monday, November 11, at 7pm in New Broomfield. The group meets on the second Monday of each month.

The community centre hosts an over60s group on Mondays from 12 noon until 2pm; a toddlers’ group for kids from birth to three years on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon; and prize bingo on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm. The village’s community council will hold its AGM in Stanrigg Memorial Hall on Monday, at 7.30pm.

Airdrie North representa­tive Sophia Coyle will hold her next surgery in the village tonight, from 6pm to 6.30pm in Stanrigg memorial hall. Her surgeries are on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Tommy Morgan will have his next surgery on Saturday at 12 noon, in the community centre.

Runs on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Greengairs parish church hall, from 12.30pm to 3pm. Tea, coffee and home baking are available.

Future entertainm­ent includes a Scots music evening on November 30, featuring the Jacobus entertainm­ent group; tickets cost £4 and are on sale now. The club will be holding prize and money bingo events on Friday evenings from November 1. The club is open to visitors and the hall, games room and lounge can be booked by calling 01236 830436.

People can learn to play musical instrument­s including guitar and fiddle at St Bartholome­w’s church hall on Fridays from 8pm to 9.30pm. Lessons are followed by a folk music session until midnight.
