Coatbridge stylist Thomas Holman is a cut above after being named in the top 10 of the most loved salons of the year at a prestigious industry awards.

Thomas, owner of THE hair salon in Coatbridge, achieved the prestigious status in the “most loved salon 2019” category at the glittering Scottish Hair and Beauty awards ceremony in Glasgow.

The industry- endorsed awards event attracts the creme de la creme from salons across Scotland.

And the talented 27-yearold, who only opened his small boutique- style salon in March this year, was overwhelmed by his “amazing journey” so far.

Now in their ninth year, the awards, which are organised by Creative Oceanic, were voted for by members of the public.

Thoma s w a s also shortlisted as a finalist in the stylist of the year category at last year’s awards ceremony.

Responding to his latest success, Thomas told the Advertiser: “I’m over the moon; I was a bit taken aback because I was not expecting it at all.

“Last year I was in the top 10 for hair stylist of the year and this year was selected as a finalist for the most loved salon.

“I opened the salon more than a yearand-a-half ago and since then it has received high star ratings and we get a whole lot of recommendations and reviews.”

Talented Thomas is passionate about all aspects of hairdressing and first “fell in love” with his craft as a teenager.

He explained: “I’ve been hairdressing for over 10 years.

“When I left school I got put into a placement and I just fell in love with it from a young age.”
