Businesses earn share of £25,000
Five Monklands businesses are sharing nearly £25,000 in the latest round of grant awards from North Lanarkshire’s business transformation fund.
Arvill Plant & Tool Hire in Airdrie and Coatbridge firm Matic Media Services each received £ 6000 for capital expenditure, while Papillon Nursery at Eurocentral received £ 5962.50 for the same purpose of buying new equipment or machinery.
Coatbridge firm My Roofcare was awarded £ 3756 in consultancy and exhibition grants, while Bio Cleansers in Newhouse re c e v i e d £ 2 8 7 5 for consultancy work to develop a growth project.
They were among 21 projects across North being told she had stayed out of further trouble.
Lanarkshire to benefit in this current financial year’s third round of funding, with the recipients using the funds to create 29 new jobs, safeguard a further 117 and help grow turnover by a combined £3.25 million over the next year.
Applications are now open until March 13 for the next round of funding, which allows firms to apply for up to 50 per cent of the costs of infrastructure improvement such as premises expansion or conversion, training for staff, or capital, consultancy and exhibition costs.
It is “designed to boost innovation, digitisation, market growth and lowcarbon business activities”, and applications are encouraged from firms in the manufacturing, logistics, food and drink, health and social care, life sciences, creative industries, tourism, construction, social enterprise and energy sectors.
