Extra book winners crowned

-

A Coatbridge author who ran a competition offering Advertiser readers a free ebook copy of his new book was so “overwhelmed” by the response that he has crowned an extra five lucky winners.

That means a total of 15 readers are now getting to sample Owen Mullen’s gangster-thriller Family.

The successful recipients are Brian Davidson; Michelle Bruce; Jennie Stallard; Rich Tyler; Laura Johnson; Zoe Payne; Elena Arsene; Samantha Brown; Louise Dray; Pauline Hill; Laura Child; Louise Chapmen; Karen Baines; Mrs. T Wilson; and Jim Henderson.

Owen said: “There was such a terrific response to the competition that I chose 15 winners.

“I am overwhelmed by people’s interest in reading Family and wish to thank everyone for taking part and hope they love the new book.

“I’d also like to thank the Advertiser for running the competition in the paper, and for their continued support.”

Describing the general plot of Family, Owen, who splits his time between his Kirkshaws home and a Greek villa, said: “The Glass family business is crime – and they’re good at what they do.

“Vengeance took Luke Glass behind bars – but now he’s free and he’s never going back.

“Luke wants out of the gangster life; all he has to do is convince his family to let him go.

“His brother holds the reins of the South London underworld in his brutal hands – nobody tells Danny Glass no and expects to live.

“Not even DCI Oliver Stanford, bent copper and one of the Met’s rising stars.

“Luke can’t see a way out, until Danny commits a crime so terrible it can’t be forgiven. Love turns to hate when secrets are unearthed which pit brother against brother.”

Family is available to buy now online and from where books are sold.
