Rovers legends talk of the town

-

Albion Rovers TV commentator Daniel Mossie is looking to create as interactive an experience as possible for fans watching their live stream, and has enlisted some club legends to help out.

Mossie, who is co-head of media and communications, under-21 coach and team scout, as well as announcer and commentator at the Cliftonhill club, says former players and managers are only too happy to help out.

Guests so far include Ciaran Donnelly, who took in last week’s Stirling Albion game, and former midfielder Scott

Chaplain, with more familiar faces and voices lined up for next month.

Daniel said:“it brings a bit of professionalism to it; they’ve played for Rovers so they’re talking about what happens in a dressing room, and stories that fans might want to hear.

“We want to try and make what we’re doing with ARFC Live as interactive as possible – I want to make it as normal as I can for the fans.”

He added:“sometimes it can be challenging; we’ve had glitches here and there, but it’s been good overall.

“We get guest commentators in, and guys like Ben Kearney are helping me. The guys we bring in are all happy to do it off their own backs – nobody’s getting any payment for this and they’re happy to help the club out.”

Donnelly enjoyed his pundit experience, saying: “It was good to get back to viewing a football game in a stadium, but I enjoyed the cocommentating side of it.

“It’s a good idea for the fans – and the guys are doing really well because it’s not as easy as it sounds.”
