Returnwhen it’ssafe,says Gallacher
Defender Paul Gallacher says he would prefer football to returnwithfansin the stand and everybody completely safe, even if it meansthelower leagues are sacrificed.
Gallacher would love nothing more than thechance to keep Albion Rovers inleaguetwo, butsaysif thatended up being an issue for next season, there wouldn’t bea problem.
The biggest thing fortheon-loan Pollok star is making sureeverybody is safeand protecting clubs, who are feeling the pinchwithout fans.
He said:“everyoneloves football and wants it back, but I think it has to bethe best possible scenario, withfansand everything – the way itshouldbe.
“If these sacrifices haveto be made then so beit – buti don’t wantto bethe guy making the decisionson what happens withpromotion and relegation.
“I totally understand theshut-down, the most importantthing, in my opinion, is public health, and I would rather getouttheother sideand get through this.
“If that means football at that level suffers then so beit – but hopefully thingsimprove, numbers go down and wecanhopefullyget backplaying.
“Butthelonger times goes onyou start to doubt it a bit.”
Gallacheradded:“football clubs need to be protected, especially clubs atthat leveland it probablyhas been challenging.”
