Frid Friday’s trip to Queen’s Park that will close out their

Cha Championship campaign. T The Diamonds are gea gearing up for the

Pre Premiership play-offs, sta starting on Tuesday, and fac face the Spiders at Ha Hampden to complete th their regular season. Queen’s Park are fighting to avoid the relegation pl play-offs on the final day and cu currently sit a point above Invern Inverness in the battle to avoid an end-of-season shootout for survival.

Despite having an eye on the play-offs, Fordyce says the Diamonds will be determined to win and head into their play-off quarter-final with Partick Thistle on a high.

He said:“i wouldn’t say it is going to be a weakened side.

“If you look at the Dundee United game, we finished the game with 18 and 19-yearolds playing but they did not look out of place so I wouldn’t say it would be a weaker side.

“We will have a chat this week about selection but the team that we put out will be a strong side and we’ll be looking to win the game.

“We know what is at stake for Queen’s Park and we will give them the respect they are due.

“Yes, we have an eye on the play-offs but we still want to win the game and take momentum into the play-offs.”

Player/boss Rhys Mccabe looks likely to remain sidelined with a calf strain. The midfielder has been out for a few weeks now and Fordyce said:“he did a wee bit with the physio last week so it will be up to him and how he is feeling.”
