New ex­hi­bi­tion at mu­seum

AN ex­hi­bi­tion to com­mem­o­rate a cen­tury since the First World War be­gan will be opened to the pub­lic next Wed­nes­day.

Rush­moor Re­mem­bers, put to­gether by the Friends of the Alder­shot Mil­i­tary Mu­seum, is a dis­play in the Evelyn Woods Road mu­seum that tells the story of Rush­moor’s con­tri­bu­tion to the war ef­fort. In 1914, Alder­shot was the UK’s largest army camp, while Farn­bor­ough was lead­ing the way in avi­a­tion, and the ex­hi­bi­tion fea­tures ma­jor events and in­di­vid­ual sto­ries.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will run to Septem­ber 21. En­try is in­cluded in the mu­seum’s ad­mis­sion price.
