New exhibition at museum
AN exhibition to commemorate a century since the First World War began will be opened to the public next Wednesday.
Rushmoor Remembers, put together by the Friends of the Aldershot Military Museum, is a display in the Evelyn Woods Road museum that tells the story of Rushmoor’s contribution to the war effort. In 1914, Aldershot was the UK’s largest army camp, while Farnborough was leading the way in aviation, and the exhibition features major events and individual stories.
The exhibition will run to September 21. Entry is included in the museum’s admission price.
